For the best quality with minimal performance impact, we recommend the following settings in OBS Studio:
Best Encoder: NVENC AV1 / H.264
The RTX 5070 Ti features the latest NVENC encoder with AV1 support. TODO: Update with real-world encoder performance data.
Streaming: For YouTube, use AV1 with a bitrate of 11,000-13,000 Kbps for 1440p/4K streaming. For Twitch, use H.264 at 8,000 Kbps.
Recording: Use AV1 with CQP at a CQ Level of 18-22.
Preset: Set to "Quality".
AV1 Encoder Note: AV1 streaming is currently supported by YouTube. For Twitch, use NVENC H.264 for compatibility.
